Brian Cabrey is an experienced attorney and child advocate who has been practicing law in Florida for over 30 years, and represented countless children and parents, many of them pro bono. He has been involved in landmark children's litigation and multiple high profile children's cases, and was formerly a senior attorney with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). Mr. Cabrey is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Cabrey holds a Juris Doctor law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He has been published and is a sought-after presenter for continuing legal education. Mr. Cabrey has been recognized as one of "Florida's Legal Elite" by Florida Trend Magazine, and was formerly president of the Catholic Lawyers Guild for the Diocese of St. Augustine, vice-president of Florida's Children First, and chair of multiple sections and committees of the Jacksonville Bar Association dealing with children's issues. Mr. Cabrey has been recognized for his work on behalf of children by the Florida Guardian Ad Litem Program, Florida's Children First, and is recognized annually by the Jacksonville Bar Association for his pro bono legal service to children.
